An election of central office-bearers of Lahore Division Sarafa and Jewellers Association was held under the chairmanship of Mian Khurshid Ahmad Sabri, President, All Pakistan Sarafa Community & Jewellers Association, Rawalpindi, on September 23, 1988, at Avari Hotel, Lahore. About 18 sarafa associations took part in the election process at that time.
Haji Manzoor Ahmad and Khawaja Zaheer Ahmad, were elected unopposed President and General Secretary respectively. On this occasion Haji Manzoor Ahmad announced names of the Central Executive Committee and congratulated them.
